题目:Software Service Networking: A Paradigm Shift in Software Development

内容简介:

Over the past 50 years, software engineering has experienced a number of paradigm shifts, each based on our deeper understanding and each lead to significant productivity and economic benefits. Perhaps the most significant are from very small scale improvised software development, to large scale top-down software decomposition, and then to larger scale bottom-up/middle-out software assembly. Now, the next shift is happening, i.e., to horizontal software service networking, where all kinds of software systems and services are deployed and inter-connectable over the internet, and ready to be tailored to form any software applications in need in a shared manner. Software service networking will deliver unprecedented scale, productivity, economic and social benefits. In this talk, we will explore this paradigm shift, and identify some of the research challenges to fully realise its potential. We will also introduce some of the current research efforts in software service networking at Swinburne University of Technology (Melbourne, Australia), including software defined service networks, software service virtualisation, software service behaviour mining, and situation oriented service discovery and recommendation.

主讲人简介:

Prof Jun Han received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Queensland (Brisbane, Australia). Since 2003, he has been a full Professor of Software Engineering at Swinburne University of Technology (Melbourne, Australia). Prior to joining Swinburne, he held academic positions at Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) and the University of Queensland (Brisbane, Australia). Professor Han has published two research monographs/books, and over 250 peer reviewed research papers in international journals and conferences. His research is supported by the Australian Research Council, Australia’s national cooperative research centres (CRCs), and other government and industry organisations. His current research interests include software defined service networking, software behaviour mining and emulation, software architecture, adaptive and context-aware software systems, and (cloud) services engineering and management.
